Starter for Sephiroth

Near the edge of a forest, a violent tornado suddenly forms from nothing. The phenomenon ends, and Goenitz is left standing in that spot, blue eyes glancing around as if he were looking for something.

He spots another man in the distance by the cliffside, calmly approaching with heavy footsteps. A dangerous smirk graces his lips, finally deciding to speak.

"Just as the rumors stated, you are a difficult man to find."

Goenitz exhales, eyeing Sephiroth carefully before he smirks and closes his eyes, clapping his hands.

"You've exceeded my expectations, Sephiroth. Thank you."

The surrounding winds begin to die down, and Goenitz floats towards the ground before crouching slightly. He clearly had taken more damage than he was expecting.

He kept his head high despite his deep injuries. A slight furrowing a bit once Goenitz praised him.

Something he's rather...unaccustomed to in this day and age.

Eventually, Goenitz stands again. He looks over the other battered man, and chuckles to himself.

"You've spilled nearly as much blood as I have, yet you seem completely unbothered... A true soldier to the core, Sephiroth. I commend you."

He'd place some long silver hair behind his ear, keeping kis crystal blue eyes on the other man.

"Hmph..." a low exhale, placing his blade back in its sheath.

"Well? Have I convinced you to join our cause? Or would you rather take more time to think about it? It would be a shame for a man with your ability to go to waste."

He grins.

"Hmph. It seems simple enough. Although clearly it seems as though you don't need me. With your prowess and strength."

He brushes his long hair back and utters a slow breath.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒊𝒕 𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒕...

Sephiroth would give a small nod none the less. "You do have a convincing argument" a faint smirk in referring to the battle they had.

"I see nothing wrong with amassing as much power as you can. I prefer guaranteed success over anything else."

Goenitz smirks in return.

"Thank you for your kind words, Sephiroth. Watching you fight is quite the spectacle."

"I will say I haven't had a thrill like that in some time..." Although his tone kept its flat timber.

"The feeling is quite mutual... I've had plenty of battles over the years, but... I haven't felt that excited before."

Goenitz clears his throat, attempting to remain somewhat proper despite the damage he's taken.

"I'd like to learn more about you. Such as where you learned to fight and the source of such power... Perhaps over dinner?"

A blink.

He'd be taken back some. The other man still rather forward...which he appreciated.

A hand raised to cast cura over the both of them. Although he was regenerating already, this hastened it some. Both men temporarily glowing before the spell dissipated

Goenitz raises an eyebrow as the aura was casted over them, feeling his wounds slowly starting to close. He looks towards Sephiroth again, lips forming a smirk at the man's ability.

"Here I was assuming that I was testing you... You were never in any danger, were you?"

An almost impish grin casted across his face briefly.

"Something like that" a blunt statement before he stepped forward, long hair billowing about his form before resting behind his shoulder.

Clearly impressed, Goenitz closes his eyes with a grin of his own.

"I'm becoming quite fascinated by you, Sephiroth. I look forward to learning more about you. Shall we?"

He gives a formal bow.

"I believe we still have much to discuss..." a nod and he'd set out with the other man.

[galeforcetempest]

"Indeed we do... There is a town not too far from here that serves excellent Italian cuisine."

He surrounds himself with a tornado as they walk, the winds soon dissipating to reveal fully repaired robes. He resumes walking to keep pace with Sephiroth.

"I see...Tell me again, how did you come to find my whereabouts?" His voice remaining calme in tone as they walk on.

Not many had information on him. Several saying he had perished.

"Several musings about the 'One Winged Angel' reached my ears during my travels. Tales of a man who could command the elements as well as magic that surpasses anything that a mere human could muster."

Goenitz closes his eyes as they walk, opening them afterwards to look towards Sephiroth.

"Asking a few of the locals under the guise of following a soul I wished to 'save' made tracking you down a simple task. Once I began to sense your overwhelming power, I knew I was close."

Eventually the town in question was ahead of them. Sephiroth listened with a bit of a chuckle.

"Ah yes...some look upon me as some sort of mythical beast. Hilarious how some urban legends come to be" His tone mildly smug

"Especially when you know who the real legends are... The ones who earned their place in history. Rather than through heresy."

Upon entering the town, the duo get a few glances from the local townsfolk. Goenitz offers a polite wave as they pass, seemingly easing any possible tension.

"That's always the thing, isn't it?" He would quip lightly.

Rumors were always easier to spread. Lies...petty little first that turn into something more.

His blue eyes keep their forward glance despite being aware of some of the faintly uneasy expressions of those around them.

"Indeed. But now that I have experienced the legend first hand, I'd like to know quite a bit more."

They finally arrive at a quaint restaurant. A quiet atmosphere with an outdoor dining area. The owner nervously steps out to greet the pair, and Goenitz gives a surprisingly warm response as they're led to a table not far from the entrance.

He's pretty well versed in maintaining facades, after all.

"Hah. I'm sure" a short quip. Long hair swept back with his hand.

Sephiroth was keeping his usual piercing gaze as a default. Both men equally imposing, although they seemed a bit more relieved when Goenitz spoke up.

After they're seated, Goenitz takes out a pair of reading glasses to put on. He picks up a menu to look over their choices.

"So, tell me. Is 'Sephiroth' your real name? Or is it an alias that you've created? It has a... Majestic sound to it."

He'd do the same, though keeping it lowered to easily peer at the other man.

"It's my actual name..." He'd reply softly. A smirk at his comment.

"It does have that...whimsical tone, doesn't it? Haha..."

"Whimsical... Yes. It does have a regal feeling as well. Quite admirable, in fact."

He peers over his menu to keep his attention on Sephiroth.

"The elements heed your command, even without the influence of a higher being... How do you do it?"
