Starter for Sephiroth

Near the edge of a forest, a violent tornado suddenly forms from nothing. The phenomenon ends, and Goenitz is left standing in that spot, blue eyes glancing around as if he were looking for something.

He spots another man in the distance by the cliffside, calmly approaching with heavy footsteps. A dangerous smirk graces his lips, finally deciding to speak.

"Just as the rumors stated, you are a difficult man to find."

Long hair billows behind him, his back remains turned at the man that appeared. His eyes half open as he seemed to peer at nothing below him.

Several feathers fall loose from his lone wing, catch the air, blowing toward the other man.

"I only allow a select few to seek me out. You, however..." He was definitely 𝙣𝙤𝙩 the man Sephiroth was awaiting.

Goenitz remains idle, looking towards the feathers as he opens his palm to catch one.

"Do forgive my sudden arrival. I am Goenitz." The wind blows the feather from his palm, and the priest bows gracefully.

"As a man of God, I had to seek out the rumored 'One-Winged Angel' and see his power for myself. May I request a moment of your time?"

His...polite demeanor was something unaccustomed. None the less, he turns around with a slowness, tucking his long hair behind an ear.

Taking the turn as a 'yes', Goenitz raises from his bow to make eye contact with the other man.

"Normally, I would show disdain for a... Creation of humanity. However, you use your gifts to transcend those foul creatures, rather than assist them."

The winds around them begin to pick up, ruffling Goenitz' robes as he remains still.

"Tell me. Have you ever heard of 'Orochi'? Perhaps we share a mutual goal..."

A bit of a brow narrow at his mention of origin, his demeanor didn't change for the moment.

"Hmph. What's the point in not striving to be better?" A dismissive hand at his own question, meeting the other's gaze.

"Orochi...as in the multi-headed serpent?" Not wrong, but not quite the correct answer in this instance.

"Precisely. Though we slightly differ from the legend that humanity believes."

Goenitz's blue eyes shine, showcasing serpentine pupils as heavy winds swirl around them. He raises his hand towards the sky, looking upwards.

"A God born from Mother Gaia herself, tasked with protecting our planet from human destruction..." The winds eventually calm, and Goenitz lowers his hand to look towards Sephiroth again.

"A man with your gifts would surely benefit from the extinction of those vile creatures, no?"

𝘼 𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚...

Exhaling lowly.

"You have my interest for the moment, but I'm curious as to why you would seek me out. Many share the sentiment we do"

"That they do. But many also lack the power to go through with their ambitions. I have seen many try and fail to surpass their humanity. As my... 'sister' once said: 'Human conceit knows no bounds'."

Goenitz chuckles to himself, closing his eyes briefly.

"I can sense your power by your mere presence. I appreciate your interest in my proposal, but may I ask for a display to dispel any doubts?"

"Of course they do. They expect things to be done on their behalf as if they are divine" a scoff.

"Hmph. If you so desire. Be warned, what you 'sense' is not to be taken lightly"

"Hahahaha! Do not worry. I am not nearly as fragile as I may look. The very least you could do is give me your name before we begin."

Goenitz bows again, before the winds swell around them both. The sky darkens, as the man's blue eyes begin to glow once more.

"Thy will be done, Orochi-sama..."

"Of course...where are my manners?" Although his tone was nowhere near anything of an apology.

"Sephiroth"

Icy blue eyes glimmer, his long blade remains sheathed for now. Several purple orbs appearing around his form and slowly rotate before launching themselves at the other man.

"Sephiroth... The pleasure is mine."

He eyes the orbs approaching, and with an amused chuckle, Goenitz places an arm behind his back. Turning away, he extends his other arm and snaps his fingers, concentrating the winds into several slicing blades near his hand to attack the incoming orbs.

That seemed to perhaps test the waters some, although he had a but of an inkling of what he was getting into.

The orbs explode around them, he would lunge forward with a much larger orb in his palm, thrusting it with his momentum.

Goenitz turns to face the explosion, only to find Sephiroth lunging at him with an orb. He raises an arm to guard when the Angel reaches him, the energy burning part of his sleeve.

However, a gust of wind suddenly causes Goenitz to disappear. He reappars behind Sephiroth, raising an arm to form several tornadoes of sharp winds around his opponent which start to close in.

His long hair billows about, the ground wipping up debris from the deep cutting gusts.

He'd manage to vanish away before taking on too much, although his once smooth looking form was frazzled and unkempt. A hand on his blade as the tornadoes pull him back from the powerful vacuum and pressure.

Impressed, Goenitz disappears in another gust of wind. He then appears right above Sephiroth, swinging his arms in a cross formation to leave pair of slashing attacks in their wake as he tries to force the other man towards the tornadoes.

"Excellent! Show me more, Sephiroth!"

Several pillars of fire erupting from around him to buffer the slashes. They do to a point...

He's send back toward the tornadoes until he leaps and slashes upward with his glinting blade.

Meanwhile the flaming pillars become pulled into the tornadoes with now high licking flames

The blade clashes with his own slashes, causing the priest to bounce back from the impact. He watches as the flames combat his winds, causing Goenitz to snap his fingers to dissipate the tornadoes.

He then attempts to slash downwards, summoning a crescent shaped blade of energy that flies towards Sephiroth.

His speed was something Sephiroth hadn't seen in some time. Keeping his smirk, icy blue eyes bring his blade up to block the crescent energy, skidding back and throwing up earth around them.

He would almost phase closer to the other man with rapid swings of his enormous blade.

Now surrounded by earth, Goenitz appears impressed before Sephiroth slashes at him.

"Your elemental powers are fascinating!"

The priest laughs, dodging a few slashes before the blade catches the tail of his robes. Goenitz raises his index finger with a smirk, floating backwards as a small tornado spawns behind the other man to close in.

"You don't know the half-" glancing back at the feel of the winds shifting behind him, he would make an attempt to dash forward, his movements slowed at the pulling of the swirling tornado.

"While you may be quite powerful with several elements, I have mastered the one I control. Observe!"

A gust of wind causes Goenitz to disappear again, this time reappearing above Sephiroth to attempt a flying kick aimed at the man's head! He seems to be trying to knock Sephiroth towards the tornado.

A hiss through gritted teeth as the kick sent him back aways at a high rate of speed.

He'd halt himself to streak away, his body seeming to pulse. Several more violet orbs appearing around him before they hone in on Goenitz.

"This feeling...something I haven't had in a while" he would almost muse to himself.

His body glowing a blinding white now. He'd lift a hand to summon several meteors to rain down around him for space, but also some hard hazardous damage

After Goenitz lands, he watches as Sephiroth's body appears to pulsate with his exertion. He smirks, clearly excited to be fighting such a powerful man.

"Beautiful..." He murmurs, blue irises glowing brightly as the orbs crash around him. The dust soon becomes a cyclone, and dissipates to reveal Goenitz again. His robes now tattered.

Looking up to see the meteors, Goenitz scoffs, disappearing in another gust of wind. As the destruction damages the area around them, Goenitz appears suddenly from the winds in front of Sephiroth, attempting to seize the man by the throat.

The ground breaking apart from the hard blasts of the meteorites force, smoke billowing around.

A scowl at the hand around his throat, blue eyes glimmer with malice...before he gives a smirk.

His blade sinking into the man without much thought other than to attempt to break his hold.
