Hiryu slides silently down a snowy hill. The fluffy white snow billows around him before he launched himself to a nearby post to perch.

Though the demon seems to sport somewhat of an attitude, it relents, lowering it's head. "Good choice. Don't worry. We'll have plenty of fun in the days ahead~"

Opening her palm towards Alastor, yellow sparks of electricity emit from her hand to surround the demon. It slowly starts to morph, turning into a blade that rests at her feet. She steps forward to pick up the weapon, looking it over before she turns to Hiryu.

"Thanks. I really appreciate your help."

"Hah. Don't mention it" a nod. "That seemed rather simple. Although that looks like quite the weapon"

"It's a huge step up from that generic sword I was using a moment ago. That's for sure." After placing Alastor onto her back, Trish smiles toward the ninja.

"What brings you all the way out here? Didn't expect any company. Not that I'm complaining about a familiar face."

"Unfortunately I was investigating a false lead. A lot of hearsay that has left me with nothing" a shake of his head before sighing.

"Needless to say I share the same sentiment. It's been awhile, but it's wonderful to see you again"

"Likewise. I always did like how efficient you were with your work. Someone I know should take notes.

Referring to Dante, of course...

"Where's your next stop, Hiryu? I can always give you a lift, if you want."

His shoulders moved as he chuckled.

"I'm thinking of venturing north. That's my last stop before fully dropping this investigation"

"Ah, I see. Well, if you don't mind me lending a hand, I'll go with you. You did me a huge favor by helping me out."

She places a hand on her hip as she glances in the mentioned direction.

"How could I refuse an old friend? Much less, a pretty face"

He dares to add. "By the way, why are you alone all the way out here?"

She smiles at the comment, giving Hiryu a wink in response.

"A bogus lead on another demon led me here when I took a job in Dante's place. Finding Alastor was just a lucky break."

[ouroboroshiryu]

"I see...that is rather bothersome" a sigh and a shake of his head in annoyance for her.

"A lot of false tips like the ones you speak of give me an inkling it's to throw fellow hunters and mercenaries off a much larger trail"

"A much larger trail... You might be right. Usually, false leads that come into Devil May Cry are either a trap, or a diversion. Think you could help me find out which one this is?"

She gives Hiryu a nod.

"That is, if you're not too busy. I know you stay on top of things in your line of work."

"That's fine by me, as I have some invested interest if it's either one of the two" a bit of a bow.

"I'm at your service"

"Well, aren't you cute? Let's get started. I still have the contact information of that bogus client. Maybe we can find out who they're working for?"

Trish produces a card with a number an address.

"The address is in town at the bottom of the mountain. I didn't stop there on my way here."

"Hah. I try to be as chivalrous as possible" His tone light hearted before peering to the card.

"Right. We'll start there. It shouldn't be too late before we get there"

With a nod, Trish turns to look in the direction of the town she mentioned. She then looks toward Hiryu, remembering she didn't exactly use transportation to get up here.

"... Need a lift? Or..."

"I could use one, yes. I'm sure whatever means you used is far faster to my own" He'd admit with a nod.

With a nod, Trish's body begins to emit a golden electric aura. She floats into the air, picking up Hiryu to start flying towards the base of the mountain.

"It's a good thing it's not snowing. Much easier to get around!"

"Ha, you're right about that. Unfortunately it's difficult to tell when the snowstorms drift back in. Last night was a nasty one"

His scarf billowing as they moved downward. "Curious. Is this something that happens often?" asking more so about Trish venturing out alone, far from Devil May Cry.

"Depends on what you mean. If you mean having to track down renegade Devil Arms like Alastor? Not that often."

They approach the lower part of the mountain, the small town at the base coming into view.

"If you mean me traveling alone? Yeah. I usually go looking for work when jobs with Dante dry up."

At mention of the former, that gave him some peace of mind to an otherwise possibly problematic issue.

Several lights coming from small homes and other buildings with faint swirls of smoke from fireplaces become more detailed.

"I can understand that. Sometimes splitting up and scouting areas outside the norm is best"

"What about you? Did you get sent to scout the area? Or are you wandering around looking for trouble?"

Easing Hiryu onto his feet before she gently lands as well.

"I'm basically on a patrol of the area. Nothing too in particular in means of a mission just yet"

"Oh yeah? Then would it be too much of a bother to ask you to tag along? I could use a hand just in case things get hectic during my hunt."

Trish turns to face Hiryu as she speaks.

"As a favor for an old friend?"

"I don't see why not" Nodding at the gorgeous blonde before him.

"Besides, I could use the adventure. Good company never hurts either"

"I'm liking this new friendly side of you, Hiryu. It's kinda cute when you're not so quiet all the time."

She winks.

"Let's go. That address is a few blocks west."

A small duck of his head for a second. "Hah. Everyone has their secrets. We've known each other for this long. It would be awkward not to be friendly at this point."
