There's nothing.
Darkness, perhaps. But one could think it's the mind when all thought has been pushed aside. That blackness, so dark it leaves a numbing silence that's so painfully quiet, the ringing in ones ears begins to sound as if it was a unfathomable, mind piercing whirring unable to be shut off.
From that blackness draws the lone pathway of snow, crunching as if one was approaching from the sudden chilly atmosphere that had befallen that once quiet darkness.
". . . "
A man, cloaked in darkness. But it was as if the darkness was a part of his own body, clinging to him like a veil. It was only when he approached, did the desolate view gain it's beacon of light, through sheer amber from his gaze alone.
" How unfortunate....."
The voice said, now silhouetting more of the mysterious man.
"How unfortunate for you to be dragged into hell." Spoke so matter of fact, yet he continues.
"But then. You would not be here if you weren't well equipped."
"Everything you think or feel. Question it. Find the dark ember to light your desolate path through the hell that's been chosen. Smite it. If not with your own flames, then ours."
There's a pause, and at least now, wind could be heard amongst the chilly path.
"They have no voice. But you can be theirs's. Lead onwards to what I've placed within you. But do not dismay. This too, will pass. Should you will it. "
"As for now....wait and hope."
And like a light clicking off, everything fades to black once more.
