Starter for Dante

Sitting at a bar, Poison sips from a martini as she eyes the television nearby. She sighs, crossing one leg over the other as she turns the seat back towards her drink.

"Sure babe, whatever you want. You got a ride, or-?" He'd gesture to his motorcycle once they were out front.

"I do now. Nice bike."

Poison clings to Dante's arm as they walk, only letting go once they reached the motorcycle.

He chuckles and eases on. "I know a place. Granted it's another bar" He warns her before firing up the engine.

Hopping onto the back, Poison wraps her arms around Dante's torso. She leans against his back as she speaks up over the engine.

"Long as we don't end up fighting another demon, it's fine with me!"

"Nahh, we should be fine. I paid my tab off" He was only half joking as they sped off away from the prior bar.

She holds on tightly as they speed off, looking over Dante's shoulder at the road ahead.

"Don't worry, big boy! I'll cover it, if I gotta!"

"It shouldn't come to that! I hope-" He added. They leave the main hub of the city, the wide lanes narrowing to one going each way.

"So, what's your deal? How'd you know that bozo was a demon?"

She'd ask as the area around them changes, looking around to take in the sights.

A chuckle.
"Well, I'm a demon hunter. Who happens to be a demon"

[toxiclovestorm]

"... Huh. That explains why you were able to take that guy down without even tryin'."

Poison's actually... Intrigued by this information. A demon wrestler sounds exciting!

"Not every day I don't have someone freaking out about that" speaking up honestly.

One last turn and they're parked! Music rumbling from the back as it seemed a live band way playing there. He'd cut the bike off and hop off with a flit of his coat.

"Trust me, Dante. If you've seen some of the stuff I have? You bein' a demon seems tame. Especially when you save a girl's life the way you do."

When they park, Poison hops off with a grunt. She smiles at the new atmosphere, holding onto Dante's arm as they walk.

"Live music, huh? I like this new spot already!"

"It ain't much, but it's honest work" He'd remark with a smirk. "I love what I do, and the perks aren't that bad either. Come on. Let's get a drink and poke around"

"You got it, Dante. Let's see what this place is all about!"

The pinkette smiles and keeps a tight hold on the demon hunter's arm, taking in the sights and sounds of the new bar. It was much more lively than the last one!

A few people greet him as they enter. Dante nodding. "What's your drink of choice, anyway?"

"Green apple martini." Shw answers quickly. "Hopefully I can enjoy this one without bein' harassed by a punk. Hah!"

"Green apple" He'd repeat. "That sound slide a good choice. I might have to have one myself" He'd smirk.

"Don't worry, I've got your back"

"A guy after my own heart."

As the bartender got started on their drinks, Poison giggles and turns to face Dante.

"So, Dante. How's a demon like you end up hunting other ones? Tryin' to be a good boy?"

"Kinda. My mother was murdered by them when my brother and I were kids" an arm on the bar as he watched the bartender. "Who knew there would be money to be had in slaying demons?" He'd lightly smirk.

"Huh... Sorry for your loss. But it's good that you can make a livin' out of it."

Poison leans against the counter, glancing toward Dante after looking at the other patrons for a moment.

"My past isn't squeaky clean either. Got tied up in a gang for a while. But I'm tryin' to clean up my act lately."

Their drinks are set on the counter for them.

"Yeah. I have a whole group that helps out. Picks up my slack, some would say" He'd chuckle.

"Yeah? What made you decide to turn a new leaf?"

"A certain handsome blonde. To put it bluntly? I framed him. He got put away for quite a while because of it."

Poison crosses her legs as she picks up her glass, taking a sip of the strong drink and setting it down afterwards.

"I kept waiting for the day where he'd either find a way to sell me out, or get out of prison and track me down for revenge. But... He never did either. He actually became mayor of Metro City. Doin' a damn good job cleanin' up the place, too."

"Ah! Cody, right? I have a friend in common that's introduced us before. Hell of a brawler. Damn. Good for him, honestly"

"Oh! So ya know him, huh? Small world, huh? It's a wonder how I haven't run into ya until now."

Poison smirks, playfully trailing a fingernail along Dante's jawline.

"Better late than never, I suppose."

A smirk that forms into a genuine smile. Dante chuckles.

"True. Divine Timing, or something like that" He'd lift his glass to her with a wink. "Cheers, babe"
